Mike Janko started his career in the cash register business in 1982 at the age of 16. He financed his teenage antics fixing the now extinct MKD Bantam cash register for Wendy’s Restaurants and Tastee Freeze International. He did all this from the back of his most prized possession, a 1975 Buick Riviera. This was only the beginning!
Next, Mike ran a successful service department for Franklin Cash Register in Franklin Park, Illinois. He then decided to branch out on his own to repair Sharp electronic cash registers for dealers nationwide, while still serving all of Franklin’s customers. This entitled Franklin to save money, while at the same time giving Mike the opportunity to expand.
In 1992, the Janko family moved to Gilbert, Arizona where Janko Systems continued to grow. With the invaluable assistance of Alan Annis, Mike expanded Janko Systems to include the repair of several new products from many additional manufacturers. New services and publications were introduced. By the year 2000, Janko Systems employed six and had purchased their own commercial building.
Our current lineup includes the repair of not only the complete line of Sharp ECRs and POS products, but also Samsung, certain Casio models, and POS printers from Citizen, Epson, and Star.
Currently, Janko Systems is operating out of a new, larger commercial location and offers quality repairs of both new equipment and many older models, some going back 20 years! We also sell factory parts, keyboard covers, high quality Janko-branded ribbons, and technical manuals. Our “Real World Guides” are legendary in the industry with some calling them “bibles.”
With Janko Systems, the most important thing is PEOPLE. Our customers are the greatest, and our staff is top-notch. We look forward to serving you for many years to come.
